Andrew 

Pharmacist

Andrew joined the Port Rowan Pharmasave team in December 2015. Since that time he has gotten to know our customers on a first name basis and works closely with them to sort out questions about their medications. Andrew grew up on a farm and immediately loved the small town friendly nature of our store and customers.

Andrew is a 2015 graduate from the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy, with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Andrew is known to be quite enthusiastic not just about food but also activities like running, mountain biking, and the outdoors. In fact he never stops talking about these things!

Joan 

Pharmacist

You might recognize Joan as one of the pharmacists at both Pharmasave Chatham and Elgin Mall.  She’s been assisting customers at both locations since 2017.

Getting to know each of the customers and understanding their individual needs brings her the most satisfaction each day, along with working alongside her highly skilled colleagues.

When not at either location, Joan relaxes by watching movies and playing with her niece. And outside of that, she catches up on her sleep 🙂

Leo 

Pharmacist

Taking care of the many Chatham customers is one of Leo’s favourite responsibilities as a Pharmacist. In his long career there, since 2012, he’s had the privilege to help a lot of people and looks forward to helping you too!

With a love for the outdoors, you may also find Leo traveling and hiking. And that’s when he’s not staying home reading a good book.

Jody 

Pharmacist

Jody joined the Port Rowan Pharmasave team in August of 2012 as a Pharmacist. She works hard to know each customer by name and appreciates how close-knit the community is, not to mention her fellow staff members.

Jody is a 2012 graduate of the University of Toronto, with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.

She enjoys spending time with her family in her free time.

Carli 

Pharmacy Assistant

Carli started at Port Rowan Pharmasave in 2014 and is an excellent Pharmacy Assistant. She has lived in Port Rowan for most of her life and has a strong connection with the community.

Outside of work Carli leads a busy life with her family and friends. Her son recently started his college education and her daughter is in high school. Carli’s newest member of her family is an adult puppy that she adopted when he needed a home. Cheeko makes Carli smile every day and he is an extremely fashionable dog.

Terry-Ann 

Registered Pharmacy Technician

Terry-Ann first began with Port Rowan Pharmasave in 2003 on a part time basis, but has since been promoted to a full time Registered Pharmacy Technician. She loves the family feel of the store, and the community, citing the people here are “just great!”

Terry-Ann has a Bachelor of Science from The University of Western Ontario, and continued her education by enroling in the pharmacy technician bridging program graduating as a registered technician in June 2014.

Family, horses and dogs. Terry-Ann loves to ride horses, take care of them, and talk about them… She also enjoys walking her dogs on the farm and sailing with her husband during the summer months.

Jatan 

Pharmacy Technician

Since 2017, Jatan has worked as a Pharmacy Technician, providing great benefit to the customers he gets to serve.

He enjoys his job, thanks in part to not only working with an enthusiastic team, but the privilege of helping very friendly patients.

Outside of the pharmacy, Jatan likes to travel with family and friends, meet new people, and celebrate or arrange events and festivals.

Tani 

Pharmacy Assistant

Tani has been a Pharmacy Assistant since the summer of 2016. She’s currently in her 2nd year at the University of Toronto for Pharm.D.

She enjoys the positive and fun atmosphere she and her co-workers create, and how sweet the patients can be to help.

Outside of the pharmacy, Tani enjoys playing soccer, reading, playing piano, watching endless movies/tv shows, and eating (which she notes a definitely being the best hobby).

Shirley 

Pharmacy Assistant / OTC Supervisor

Shirley is a Pharmacy Assistant and OTC supervisor, since May of 2017.

She enjoys the great staff and management at Elgin Mall, and most especially the friendly customers and great smiles. She also enjoys the challenges and feeling of accomplishment doing front shop sales. Special community events like getting involved in the Seniors’ Picnic in Pinafore park have also been meaningful moments for Shirley.

Outside of work hours, Shirley likes to read, spend time with her friends, and vacation in resorts.

Tanya 

Pharmacy Assistant

Tanya has worked as a Pharmacy Assistant since 2016 and feels like the staff has become a second family for her. “Not a day goes by without lots of laughing,” she says.

Tanya also takes great pleasure in chatting with the customers and getting to know them as she helps them with their requests.

When her Pharmacy Assistant work is done for the day, you’ll find her during some of her favourite activities like working out, baking, camping, and most especially spending time with the family.

Veronica 

Pharmacy Assistant

Veronica has been working as a Pharmacy Assistant since 2012, and is currently working on getting her Pharmacy technician registration.

She also provides part of the pharmacy compounding services and loves the process of creating the different compounds in the lab.

Never one to stay still for too long, you’ll find Veronica spends some of her free time going for long walks, as often as she can.

Mary 

Pharmacy Assistant

Since 2012, Mary has worked as a Pharmacy Assistant and simply loves getting to help people in this way.

When not behind the pharmacy counter, Mary enjoys reading, knitting, and being out with family.

Jenni 

Pharmacy Assistant

Jenni is one of Pharmave Chatham’s Pharmacy Assistants, having worked at this location since it originally opened!

Along with great customers, Jenni also greatly appreciates how amazing her co-workers are, and getting the chance to work in such a friendly environment each day.

As diverse as her duties are in the store, she equally enjoys a diverse home life that includes a mixture of gardening, crafts, sports, and camping in the great outdoors.

Ashlea 

Pharmacy Assistant

Ashlea is the youngest member of the pack, having started as Pharmacy Assistant in 2018.

Able to perform many duties in the store, one of her favorite parts is working as a cashier because “I get to meet and talk to customers.”

Her many hobbies include baking, reading, and dancing – and sometimes all at once!

Heather 

Pharmacy Assistant

Heather is an experienced and knowledgeable Pharmacy Assistant, with a long history of working at Pharmasave Chatham since 2009.

She’s part of the reason we’re known for our friendly atmosphere, where many describe us as one big family.

When Heather is not across the pharmacy counter, you can find her inspired by a good book or using her needle skills in crocheting or knitting.

Shannon 

Pharmacy Assistant / Pill Packer

Shannon has been with Port Rowan Pharmasave since 2005, and is not only a Pharmacy Assistant, but also the Compliance Packaging / Blister Pack / Pill Packer. She’s lived in the Port Rowan area most of her life, and therefore knows most of the customers as friends first!

When not at the store, Shannon takes care of her 2 children at home.  She enjoys spending time in the kitchen baking and canning.

Miranda 

Pharmacy Assistant

Since 2014, Miranda has worked as a Pharmacy Assistant, providing help and assistance to the pharmacy needs of our Chatham community. She’s also in the midst of her 2nd year of training to be a Registered Nurse.

She enjoys getting to know the patients and learning about all the different medications that can help them – the perfect accompaniment to her nursing education.

Outside of working at the pharmacy and nursing school, Miranda enjoys a great fitness workout and reads as much as she can.

Darlene 

Pharmacy Assistant

This location was originally a Zellers store, and Darlene spent over 15 years behind the pharmacy counter as the Pharmacy Assistant. We’ve been proud to have Darlene continue with us as a Pharmasave location, making her not only one of the longest working employees, but an amazing wealth of knowledge and experience.

So when people ask us how long Darlene has been here, we always say, forever!

And she’s as finely skilled outside of the pharmacy as well, being a talented painter and enjoying relaxing evenings of knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and some gardening.

Charlotte 

Front Store Manager

Like many of her fellow Port Rowan Pharmasave colleagues, Charlotte has been a long time and extremely valued member of the store, since 1987! As Front Store Manager, she’s always had a knack for helping people find what they need, and it’s really the “best part of my job”, she says. In fact, it’s hard to find Charlotte without a smile, especially when her friends (customers and staff) get her going – which doesn’t take much!

Married to John, Charlotte also enjoys her time on the road driving motorcycles, golfing, and a quiet afternoon in the garden.

Chris 

Customer Service Team

Chris is a recent addition to Port Rowan Pharmasave and has worked in the front store since September of 2012. She enjoys meeting and greeting the customers, and likes to keep a smile on their faces while either at the till or helping them find what they need in the store. “She’s already a member of the family,” is how her fellow employees describe her! 

Chris has a former college education in secretarial work as well as expertise being a personal support worker. You’ll find her gardening her flowers, when not working at the store, and spending time with her wonderful family. 

Jenni 

Customer Service Team

Jenni is one of the people that any employer would dream to have. Since the age of 18, Jenni has dedicated much of her life to the Port Rowan Pharmacy and it’s people and community. She cites her fellow staff members and customers as “friends first.” Over the years she’s served and helped many “friends” with absolute pleasure, and has often been sad to see some pass along. When asked what she loves most about working at Port Rowan Pharmasave, she says “everything!”

A farm girl at heart, Jenni loves the farm life, taking care of the horses, pigs, chickens and other animals, as well as the fields of corn, beans, hay and more.

Dana 

Customer Service Team

Another long time and valued member of the store, Dana has lived in the Port Rowan area since 1984 and has worked at this location since 1993. Dana has a previous education in Restaurant and Hotel Administration, which she always finds ways to apply to her job here. Another employee always to be found with a smile and contagious laugh, Dana is also the resident “baker” and is called upon to bake at every birthday or other occasions. 

She also enjoys crafts, and as per her fellow employees, is a “canning and preserves enthusiast!”

Cindy 

Customer Service Team

“The nicest place I’ve ever worked,” is Cindy’s response to being a full time employee of Port Rowan Pharmasave since 2000, and “the atmosphere is so friendly, what more can you ask for?” It’s no wonder Cindy, along with many of her fellow employees, are long time staff members, and plan to be for a long time to come. 

Cindy also has experience being a hairdresser, and when not at the store, enjoys taking care of her kids, and mentoring the youth at her church.

Dorima 

Pharmacy Delivery Service

You may recognize Dorima around town, as she’s in charge of our pharmacy delivery service.

She values the conversations she has with customers on her deliveries, and she often describes it as “seeing old friends.”

When not on delivery, you’ll often find her en route to one of her favourite camping grounds.
